Ciarán Hinds: He Was Born on February 9, 1953 he is an Irish film actor and also in television He has built up a reputation as a versatile character actor appearing in such high profile films as Road to Perdition, The Phantom of the Opera, Munich, There Will Be Blood,Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. His television roles include Gaius Julius Caesar in Rome and DCI James Langton in Above Suspicion. As a stage actor, Hinds has enjoyed spells with the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Royal National Theatre in London and six seasons with Glasgow Citizens' Theatre. Though he did enroll in Law at Queens' University of Belfast, he left that in order to train in acting at RADA. He began his stage career at the Glasgow Citizens' Theatre as a pantomime horse in the production of "Cinderella".
Staying with the company for several years, he starred in a number of productions, including playing the lead roles in "Arsenic and Old Lace" and "Faust". His stage career has included working with The Field Day Company and a number of world tours.
